This antique Emerald and Diamond cluster ring is a true showstopper and exudes regal beauty and luxury. This impeccable ring is crafted in rich buttery 18ct gold with a lightly bevelled band and the most beautiful ornate shoulders, the shoulders feature hand crafted floral and shell shaped motifs with gold beading. The centre features a gorgeous Emerald and Diamond floral cluster with a rich green, foiled back emerald to the centre surrounded by a halo of sparkling old Mine cut diamonds, the cluster is flanked by two further cushion cut emeralds either side. The ring crafted in the early Victorian era has a glazed locket to the verso making it an even more wonderfully sentimental piece, the flower to the front likely representing the forget me not flower, often gifted as a romantic sentiment to a lover, especially popular in the Regency era. Such a beautifully crafted antique ring, fine quality and impeccable design, it would make the perfect choice for an engagement ring. The diamonds have an approx combined 0.50ct, estimated in setting, G-I colour and VS clarity. Marks and era: Early Victorian era, c1840s, unmarked electronically tests as 18ct gold. Condition: Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, Emerald has naturally occuring jardin visible to the naked eye, minor abrasion, one diamond appears to have been reset at some point.
